This has been a pretty busy week at the hc1.com Indianapolis headquarters. One of our all-star clients, PGXL Laboratories, a global leader in molecular diagnostics and pharmacogenetics testing, was in town for Healthcare Insight training in the hc1 Academy. Kara Maslowski, an hc1 system admin at PGXL in Louisville, KY, was challenged to complete the ALS ice bucket challenge, and the team at hc1.com was more than happy to help her answer the call.
The ALS ice bucket challenge is an awareness campaign that is taking the internet by storm. Participants are nominated, and then have 24 hours to dump a massive bucket of ice water on their head and donate to the ALS Association. It seems as though everyone, from small children to grandmothers to celebrities, is covering themselves in ice water for a good cause.
hc1.com, as part of our commitment to giving back to the community, helped Kara complete her ice bucket challenge. We were even more excited to hear that she nominated our CEO, Brad Bostic, to complete the ALS ice bucket challenge.
UPDATE!
Brad Bostic, CEO at hc1.com, was happy to accept the challenge! He also made a donation to the ALS Association on behalf of hc1.com. Thanks for the nomination, PGXL!
