As Senior Vice President of Technology at hc1, Breedlove is responsible for product and platform development, engineering, architecture, quality assurance, technical operations and IT services for the hc1 Healthcare Relationship Cloud. Breedlove was one of only two women to be nominated for this award. “I think one of the most important things in a role for CTO is to eliminate any kind of walls between departments," Breedlove said in a [press release](http://www.ibj.com/articles/54375-cto-of-the-year-laura-breedlove) on Wednesday.
