hc1 has always offered a way for our clients to build reports alongside us. However, our legacy BI Report Writing tool was beginning to show its age and limitations. It also required an intensive, two-day in-person training class for new users.
Last year, we released a new and improved way for clients to build reports: hc1 Insights Builder. Insights Builder offers a one-stop shop for all your custom reporting needs, whether you’re simply copying an existing hc1 dashboard to make edits or creating a new dashboard from scratch. Built on the Google Looker platform, it features a modern user interface and cutting-edge functionality, and with our virtual, 3-hour training, you’ll be up and running in no time.
But don’t take our word for it – here are a few examples of how hc1 clients use Insights Builder to enhance their hc1 solutions with custom reporting.
Copy and Edit Existing hc1 Dashboards
Insights Builder offers the ability to copy existing dashboards in hc1 and make changes. One large diagnostic lab had different Opportunity Pipeline Tracking dashboards for each of their sales divisions. Using Insights Builder, they could copy and tweak hc1’s Opportunity Pipeline Tracking standards to create a single dashboard that covers all their sales divisions.
Schedule Dashboards to Be Emailed
Insights Builder also enables you to schedule dashboards to be emailed to others in your organization. That same diagnostic lab in the previous example used the scheduling functionality and hc1’s user types to ensure that when a sales manager received their pipeline report, the data shown was just for their division. Add Custom Data Tables to Reports
hc1 Dataset Builder, a companion to Insights Builder, allows for creating custom tables to store and develop analytics on non-standard data from external systems. Combining these two solutions unlocks the ability to run advanced reporting using custom data fields. One hc1 client has several dashboards almost entirely made from custom tables they’ve loaded in. Using Dataset Builder and Insights Builder, they built them completely on their own.
