Be More Proactive with Business Intelligence Scheduling and Alerting

Scheduling and alerting functionality in hc1 enables certain users to schedule timed delivery of reports to specific individuals and trigger email alerts when specific data thresholds are met or exceeded. This ensures the right people have need-to-know information at the right time without any manual effort, helping your lab be proactive rather than reactive.

Some hc1 clients shared with us how they are using scheduling and alerting to enhance their processes. A few of our clients may know these features as “Broadcast” on their dashboards. Though clients may access these features through different labels, the functionality of each is the same.

Specific Test Volume: Respiratory Pathogen Panel: Now that we are officially beginning cold and flu season, consider tracking if physicians use RPP tests to rule out/diagnose respiratory illnesses unnecessarily. You can leverage hc1 alerting to notify you if a specific panel volume increases or decreases by a set value or percentage.

Datafeed Health Management: hc1 system administrators can set hc1 alerts to notify them if the datafeed error rate exceeds an expected threshold.

Client Health Scorecard: You can set parameters for existing client drops in order volume. This will alert the account manager to call the account to understand why their specimen volume has dropped.

Lab Metrics: You can generate a report to send to leadership daily to provide a view of overall Lab Health, including Total Orders, Reported Issues and Turnaround Times (TaT). A daily report of Critical Results to be reported back to Physicians can be sent to your Client Services Team. To stay on top of problem samples, schedule a daily report to be sent to the Quality Assurance team and avoid being surprised about unexpected turnaround times for the Emergency Department by creating an alert.

KPIs and Milestones: Alerts are great for proactive issue detection and can also be used to notify a department, team or leadership group when a positive milestone has been reached! Hit your Opportunity sales goals for the month? Reached that target test result TaT your department has been trying to reach? Did your services team reach a case resolution SLA time that’s a new record low? Setting alerts can ensure these wins are celebrated.

Scheduling and alerting is now available. Contact clientsuccess@hc1.com for more information or to learn more about setting up scheduling and alerting.
